Satellite dish adjustment. Researcher using a control device to adjust the alignment of a satellite dish. The satellite dish is used to transmit data to a satellite, and also to receive data from a satellite. This allows information to be transmitted from scientific instruments on satellites to scientists on Earth. It also allows scientists to transmit data around the world using satellites as relay stations.
